Britsh High Commissioner to Cameroon H.E. ROWAN JAMES LAXTON visits the NCPBM

During an audience granted the high commissioner by the NCPBM President, Peter MAFANY MUSONGE, H.E. ROWAN James LAXTON promised his country’s cooperation with the NCPBM in surmounting the challenges and maximising the opportunities of Cameroon’s rich linguistic and cultural diversity.

The 24th of July 2018 was an important day for the NCPBM, as the President of the Commission, Peter MAFANY MUSONGE received in audience the British High commissioner to Cameroon, H.E. ROWAN James LAXTON.

The High Commissioner was briefed on the missions of the NCPBM and what it had done so far.

Talking to reporters after the audience, the High Commissioner said their discussions centred on how Cameroon and Britain can work together to surmount the challenges and maximise the opportunities of Cameroon “Africa in miniature”. He pointed out that Cameroon has a great asset of linguistic and cultural diversity which should be exploited for the good of the country.

H.E. ROWAN James LAXTON said his collaborators from the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, Sophia FENANDES and MAJDA ELBIED were also ready to share their institution’s knowledge, experience and expertise with the Commission.

Also accompanying the High Commissioner was the head of the Political Section at the High Commission, Elvis ARREY NTUI.

Assisting the President of the NCPBM, Peter MAFANY MUSONGE were the Vice-President, OUMAROU DJIKA and the Secretary General, DR. CHI ASAFOR Cornelius.
