The UN is ready to listen and provide support to the security crisis in Cameroon.

Revelation made by SAMBA SANE, UN Deputy Director of Political Affairs and the Consolidation of Peace, during an audience at the NCPBM, on the 18th of April 2019.

Visiting Cameroon at a time when the nation is in the heart of security and humanitarian crisis, the UN official, guest at the NCPBM, came to show concern and readiness of his institution, to assist Cameroon regain peace and serenity in the affected regions.

The intension of the visit, he said, was to see how the UN can enhance its partnership and collaboration with the government in resolving the security crisis in the affected North West, South West, Extreme North and North regions.

His stop over at the NCPBM was no mistake, he said, owing to the role assigned to the NCPBM to strengthen effective ‘Living Together’ among Cameroonians irrespective of their socio-political, cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

While at the NCPBM, the guest was briefed on the numerous efforts made by the NCPBM in promoting Bilingualism and Multiculturalism, which happens to be some of the root causes of discontentment, especially among the population of the North West and South West regions.
